Job Description – Kombucha Bar Server
For the past 8 years MotherLove Ferments has been making great tasting kombucha with a focus on improving gut health. MotherLove built a new tasting room in Kelowna’s brewery district and is growing quickly. We are looking for a server for our Kombucha Bar. This position is responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive and memorable experience at MotherLove’s Kombucha Bar. The candidate must have a passion for fermentation and craft brewing and for learning the details of the beverages we produce and general business operations.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Passionate about the craft brewing industry
- Friendly and excellent people skills
- Outstanding attention detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent problem solver
- Cash handling experience
- 19+ (serving alcoholic beverages)
- Able to perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Work in a team environment and open to performing other duties as assigned
- Serving it Right and Food Safe - preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Greeting customers promptly and courteously
- Conducting tastings, including describing flavours, brand history, and provides general tourist information
- Pouring glasses, flights and growlers
- Accurately performing daily keg inventory and money handling procedures
- Promoting the sale of kombucha and tap room products and education customers on events
- Basic food preparation
- Opening/closing duties and general cleaning
- Retail and/or serving experience - preferred
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for up to 8 hours a day
- Able to work a flexible schedule with possible weekends, holiday and evening shifts
